Terms and Policies

About this agreement

A Virtual Hair Consult with Anny is advice only. I don't perform any hair services, and booking a consultation doesn't mean I'll do your hair in the future. My suggestions are based on the information and photos you share and my experience as a hairdresser since 1997.

Please read this before you book. By checking the agreement box at booking, you're confirming that you understand and agree to everything below.

What's included

  • A 15 to 20 minute video consultation on Zoom, for $47

  • A written summary of what we discussed, which may include recommendations, how-to steps, product suggestions and notes you can share with your hairdresser

  • One round of follow-up questions by email within 7 days of receiving your summary, about what we covered

New topics or questions after that need a new consultation.

What I don't advise on

  • DIY color, bleach, or other chemical services done at home

  • Cutting or applying chemicals to someone else's hair

  • Medical causes or treatment of hair loss, thinning, or scalp conditions. Please see a dermatologist or doctor for these.

I'm happy to talk about styling, cuts, color direction and products for hair that is thinning or changing. I won't diagnose why it's happening or recommend treatment for it.

Your choices and results

  • You decide what to do. My advice is a suggestion, not a guarantee. Any decision about your hair, and the results of that decision, are your responsibility.

  • Results depend on many things I can't control or see in person, including your hair's history, your hairdresser's work, the products you use and how you use them.

  • Your hairdresser has the final say on what's safe and possible for your hair once they see it in person. Please share my notes with them and let them guide the service.

  • Products: follow each product's directions, and patch test anything new if you have sensitive skin or a history of reactions. I'm not responsible for reactions or results from products I suggest.

  • This isn't medical advice. If you have a health concern about your hair or scalp, please talk to a doctor or dermatologist.

Booking, refunds and rescheduling

  • Payment is due when you book, along with your consultation form and photos.

  • Booking notice: consultations must be booked at least 48 hours in advance, so I have time to review your form and prepare for our call.

  • Fit review: I'll review your form within 1 day. If your answers show I'm not the right fit, I'll let you know and refund you in full before the appointment.

  • Cancellations and rescheduling: consultations are not refunded once confirmed. You can reschedule with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations or no-shows with less than 24 hours notice can't be refunded or rescheduled.

  • Late arrivals: your consultation still ends at the scheduled time, so arriving late shortens your session.

  • Technical problems: if I have connection or technical issues, I'll reschedule you at no cost.

  • Gift consultations: if the person receiving the gift is outside the scope of this service, the purchaser will be refunded in full.

Photos, privacy and recording

  • Your photos and answers are used only to prepare for and follow up on your consultation. They're stored privately and deleted 12 months after your consultation, unless you give permission to keep them longer.

  • I won't share your photos, answers or personal details without your permission.

  • Recording: consultations are not recorded unless you agree in advance. If you're open to having your consultation recorded and shared on social media, you'll be asked separately, and you can say no without affecting your consultation.

  • Affiliate links: some product links in your summary may earn me a small commission at no extra cost to you.

Age and limits of responsibility

  • Age: you must be 18 or older to book. Consultations about a child's or teen's hair are booked by a parent or guardian, who must be on the call.

  • Limits: to the fullest extent allowed by law, Anny VanDriel is not responsible for any loss, damage, injury or dissatisfaction that results from acting on advice given in a consultation. If any responsibility is found, it is limited to the amount you paid for the consultation.

  • Changes: I may update this agreement from time to time. The version in place when you book is the one that applies to your consultation.
